General troubleshooting

Error display (indoor unit)

When the indoor unit encounters a recognized error on different models,

  1. the running LED with flash in a corresponding series, the timer LED may turn on or begin flashing;
  2. an error code will be displayed;
  3. both 1 and 2.

 

These error codes are described in the following tables:

The display board may show a garbled code or a code undefined by the service manual. Ensure that this code is not a temperature reading.

Troubleshooting:

Test the unit using the remote control. If the unit does not respond to the remote; the indoor PCB requires replacement. If the unit responds, the display board requires replacement.

  5. Always pressure check to 350 psi or 400 psi.
  6. Always soap bubble flare fittings after pressurizing system.
  7. Always pull vacuum to 500 microns.
  8. When adding refrigerant for extra pipe length always use correct formula (inver- ter r410 a) (pipe length- 7.5 m) x 0.16 oz/ft for 1⁄4 liquid line (pipe length- 7.5 m) x 0.32 oz/ft fro 3/8 liquid line.
  9. Always use a surge protector.
  10. Always test drain before leaving home.
