1. Clear away any object that might be obstructing the IR signal (like curtains) or the remote IR sensor (like stickers) and try again.
One more possible issue with the remote
1. Insert new batteries into the remote control and try again.
2. Please use your mobile phone in camera mode pointing to the remote IR sensor while pressing on/off button.
3. If you can see no light from the remote’s IR, the remote is not working.

2. If circuit breaker is in the OFF position, please move to ON.

The display board may show a garbled code or a code undefined by the service manual. Ensure that this code is not a temperature reading.
Troubleshooting:
Test the unit using the remote control. If the unit does not respond to the remote; the indoor PCB requires replacement. If the unit responds, the display board requires replacement.
